Negima DVD improvements

Just realised, looking at the official site, that only the first two eps from vol. 1 were 'upgraded'. Probably explains why the hair colours weren't 'fixed' since, if they're not re-doing all the eps then the colours would keep switching back and forwards.
Also realised I missed uploading the last image. Don't know why on the DVD version they removed the Madlax-style shiny strands.
PS, ignore any changes in contrast on episode 2 since the raw files aren't great quality and I had the contrast whacked up in PowerDVD to make it look better on my laptop and just realised that it applies the filters to the screencaps as well.

I would say my personal taste would be the ORIGINAL TV Version its has good textures of the japanese style characters, however I like the DVD one its cleaner, and NODAKA's shaggy hair is just like the manga, and ASUNA at the very end panel is way better than the DVD since she's not to light, & it still captures the japanese manga art style. hnmmmm its a tough one. Can't wait to see how Setsuna will look like.

Since I only ended up with one clip from that episode I've rechecked episode one and found some minor changes to about 4 scenes that I'd not spotted the last time. Also added some more Kuma-san.

when are the negima dvd coming out

The DVDs are already out (the last one arrived yesterday), otherwise I wouldn't be able to post screencaps :P
If you meane the US discs from FUNimation, they'll probably start to be released sometime this Summer.

The release date was set for June 13th (and this is the date still given on negima.tv), however the date has slipped back to August. Rightstuf currently gives the release date as August 1st.

Hey, if you can, could you e-mail me a scan of your Negima DVD. I'm kind of pissed that I bought these Negima DVD's that were TV Rips with homemade subtitles. I just want to know how the REAL DVD's look like. If you could, I'd really appreciate it.

Not too long now.. the first 6 episodes will be released by FUNimation in June and they've already shown the first ep at conventions.

Man, do they have to make two versions of the same anime just for censorship sake?

Negima was broadcast on TV Tokyo which isn't a very "fanservice-friendly" channel. A number of anime have had edits made for the sake of TV broadcast, or alternatively improvements made as an incentive to buy the DVDs or to fix little errors that weren't caught or couldn't be corrected on a TV schedule.

Hey When does the next Negima DVD Set come out? (The one after "Magic 601")

Volume 6 is the final volume (episodes 23-26) so you'd be waiting a long time for the next one.... if you're referring to the second Negima TV series (Negima!?) or the OVAs then no date has been announced to my knowledge.
